ralph lauren have succeeded with starting with items and moving on to become a great lifestyle brand. i understand why coach is choosing this strategy. but it might be a tough road ahead. >> susie: one of the areas in terms of handbags are the accessories that have become very popular are companies like tory birch and michael kors is a really popular brand, and mark by mark jacob. is it that the coach name has sort of lost its cache? it is just not as hot a brand as it used to be? >> i think that is part of it. you've got both a lot of new competition in that same price point as coach that didn't exist several years ago. certainly michael khors is a big one, as well as tory birch. and also you've got a brand that isn't quite as popular. doesn't hold the same cache as it did several years ago. i would imagine visit a brand problem, in our view, is a lot worse than having a competition problem. >> susie: that's interesting, and coach is talking about expanding more in china. we know how brand conscious chinese consumers are. how will coach do in china? is it hot enough of name? >> well, t

yourself too thin in your brand. how do you respond to that? >> well, i don't think ralph lauren would ever say he's spreading himself too thin. we have a very wonderful brand standing for good quality, fine production, in many different product lines that really center around the home. and for in and around the home. and we will continue to design in all these areas. we're very excited about it. >> and january is a pretty big month wore home furnishing and sales. how does martha stewart play into that? >> well, you would have to look at the sales at macy's and at the home depot for home repair, home building. home design, to know how we're doing. and right now, i really can't comment on some of the things that are happening, but it's -- it's exciting to be able to be in all of these retail outlets the. we're in more than 8,000 different outlets all over the country. >> and how closely do you follow what's happening in the home building market? that has to have some correlation with the sales. >> well, we have a wip with kb homes. and i'm happy to say there are some good signs there. people
will, from some of the luxury retailers. tiffany, ralph lauren, sachs, all down. tiffany more than 1.5%. we talk about the new highs. the transports has been airlines. u.s. airways, lcc, strong numbers on the top and bottom line. that stock up about 2% in early trade here. i want to add a little insight into annie's. well off the pre-market lows. still up about 90% from the ipo. maybe some of that -- jpmorgan came out and said we'll lower our estimates, but we're going to reiterate our overweight rating, and encouraging people to buy the dips on this stock. obviously down significantly, but well off the pre-market lows. eli lilly, stomach cancer drug did extend survival rates beyond the placebo, but only by two months. it was not positive enough. that's why it's trading down 1.5%. whenever i'm down here at the floor, jim, i like to keep an eye on the dividend raisers and what the companies are doing with their cash. wells fargo, comerica, increasing dividend close to double digits. basically wells fargo said they want to do more. we're just waiting for approval from the fed. back to
